Here is a list, by state, of associations throughout the U.S. for songwriters to join, learn about writing, network and find collaborators. Most of these associations (or guilds) are non-profit, and they are dedicated to supporting the songwriting community in their region.
These groups usually host monthly meetings and workshops, which often feature guest speakers such as publishers, hit songwriters and A&R execs. Some associations host annual conferences or expos, which provide terrific opportunities to network with other songwriters as well as industry pros.
